ABOUT YOU operates an online store or online marketplace where customers can buy clothes from various brands online and have them sent to them.  The information on the conclusion of the contract and in accordance with Article 246 of the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code (EGBGB), i.e. information on the essential characteristics of the goods/clothing, our identity, the total price of the goods/clothing (including additional freight, delivery, or shipping costs), payment, delivery, and performance conditions, the date by which we have committed to deliver the goods/clothing, and the existence of a statutory warranty for defects, can be found in our Terms and Conditions or will be provided to you upon conclusion of the contract.  ABOUT YOU endeavors to make the respective websites of the online shop/online marketplace accessible in accordance with the "European Accessibility Act" (EAA) and the national implementations (e.g. the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG)).

Status of compatibility with the requirements of the EEA/national implementations
The accessibility requirements result from the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the national implementations (e.g. the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG)).  The websites have been designed and tested in accordance with the technical requirements of WCAG 2.2 with level A and AA.  The websites are continuously checked using random samples as part of a self-assessment/self-evaluation.  
Based on the review, the websites are partially compatible/compliant with the aforementioned requirements due to certain incompatibilities.

Description: Some pre-recorded video content on our website/app, particularly older or embedded third-party videos, currently lacks accurate synchronized captions, transcripts, or adequate audio descriptions for visual content. 
    
Next steps: We will endeavor to add captions / alt text on an ongoing basis, with a priority on new videos. 
  
  

    Images Without Alternative Text [WCAG 2.2, Criterion 1.1.1 Non-text Content]
    
Description: A portion of images, including some informational graphics, icons, and non-decorative images across the website/app, are missing descriptive alternative text. 
    
This content is present on the website / app as purely additive functionality and falls outside of the core functionality of the Shop. 
    
Next steps: This will be regularly reconsidered, and gradually remedied according to the business value and available resources.

    Keyboard Navigation Issues [WCAG 2.2, Criterion 2.1.1 Keyboard, 2.1.2 No Keyboard Trap]
    
Description: Certain interactive elements (e.g., dropdown menus, custom controls, modals, or carousels) on the website/app cannot be fully operated using only a keyboard (Tab, Enter, Space keys).  In some cases, keyboard focus may get trapped within a specific component, preventing users from moving away. 
    
Next steps: We are regularly testing existing and new functionality added.  This will be gradually improved over time, to have all parts of the shop be well accessible via keyboard. 
  
  

    Insufficient Focus Indication [WCAG 2.2, Criterion 2.4.7 Focus Visible]
    
Description: The visual focus indicator (e.g., outline, highlight) for interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) is partly missing, too subtle, or inconsistent across various parts of the website/app, particularly when navigating with a keyboard. 
    
Next steps: We are regularly testing existing and new functionality added.  This will be gradually improved over time, to have all parts of the shop be well accessible via keyboard. 
  
  

    Inaccessible Forms and Input Fields [WCAG 2.2, Criterion 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions, 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value]
    
Description: Some form input fields lack proper programmatic labels or clear instructions, and error messages are not always associated programmatically with the relevant fields.  Custom form elements may not correctly expose their name, role, and value to assistive technologies. 
    
Next steps: We are regularly testing existing and new functionality added.  This will be gradually improved over time, to have all parts of the Shop be well accessible via keyboard. 
  
  

    Time Limits Without Options [WCAG 2.2, Criterion 2.2.1 Timing Adjustable]
    
Description: Some sessions or interactive processes on the website/app (e.g., login sessions, quizzes, or booking processes) have fixed time limits without providing users with options to extend, turn off, or adjust them. 
    
This can disadvantage users with cognitive disabilities, limited dexterity, or those using assistive technologies who may need more time to complete tasks. 
    
Next steps: We will evaluate all timed processes to implement options for users to extend or remove time limits where appropriate.

Description: Some custom user interface components (e.g., custom tabs, accordions, dynamic content updates) do not fully or correctly utilize WAI-ARIA attributes (roles, states, properties).  This includes instances where ARIA attributes are used incorrectly, or essential attributes are missing. 
    
Next steps: We are reviewing all custom Ul components and training our development team on correct WAI-ARIA patterns.  We aim to do this on an ongoing basis in order to comply with the legal requirements.
